Wing Chun Kung Fu is probably one of the most practiced forms of Kung Fu practiced throughout the world today. Based in the new city of Milton Keynes, Progressive Wing Chun is a martial arts club that teaches Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu with a modern twist.

Wing Chun theories are based on:

  • Simplicity - with easy to learn movements and techniques.
  • Efficiency and Economy of movement - with each technique being direct with no "movie kung fu"
  • Control - once you make contact with your opponent the idea is to exploit this opportunity to the maximum potential.

Progressive Wing Chun offers traditional side of Wing Chun Kung Fu including Forms (Katas), Chi Sau (Sticking Hands), and techniques and traditional hand and foot drills as you might expect. We also include within our training, pressure testing, free sparring and group dynamic training (training against multiple opponents).

Progressive Wing Chun also offers the more modern side of the art, which includes ground work, self defence techniques, control and restraint and pad work to improve power generation, body mobility and fitness. Apart from teaching the practical side of Wing Chun we also teach the mental side, including theoretical justification, mindset, focus, and awareness.

We also teach situation assessment where you can learn read the body language and intent of an opponent prior to a situation getting out of control.

We understand that self defence in today’s society is fundamental and choosing a Martial Art discipline that suits you is an important decision. Progressive Wing Chun will offer you personalised program whereby you can train at pace that suits your lifestyle and give you realistic goals.

We pride ourselves in teaching quality techniques that work in reality that anyone can perform. After a few lessons you will see an improvement with your reflexes, speed and power.

Progressive Wing Chun trains in a relaxed environment and promotes a friendly atmosphere where everyone is welcome to train, male or female, young or old. Our classes are suited for complete beginner’s right through to people with previous martial arts experience no matter what discipline.

Group classes are currently held twice a week; every Tuesday evening at 7:00-8:30pm and every Thursday evening at 8:00-9:30pm. Please refer to Classes for more information. Private tuition is also available upon request.
